Bare Conductive Technology

Bare Conductive Innovative Technology

I recently discovered this amazing new technology in magazine 3D Develop (which is product design publication). That is very interesting about it is the technology allows you to create any shape circuit. You can apply that on almost any material: paper, glass, metal, textile and anything else. The possible applications of this are very vast.

Danny Lane

Danny Lane

Danny Lane is one of my favourite sculptor  and artist. He predominantly uses glass as his creative material. His work ranges from small pure sculptures to large architectural commissions.

Up-cycle and Re-cycle Lighting

Up-cycle and Re-cycle Lighting

I found quite interesting examples of up-cycle and re-cycle lighting designs. They all show excellent sustainability and create unique and alternative atmosphere.

Douro and Tejo Tile Panels

  Douro and Tejo Tile Panels

by Cláudia Melo  Mambo Unlimited Ideas

Handmade
Hand painted

I love this tiles design because of colours and texture. It also has very strong geometric shape. It is changing concept that all tiles which are applied on the wall have to be perfectly equal and flush. Hand finishing on the tiles is very artistic and unique and adds to the non-conforming application.

ProtoWall

ProtoWall enhances Lighting and Air Flow

by Kwok Tung Chun, Hong Kong

Lighting
Patterned wall
Wooden boards manufactured by CNC machine
Hollow partition wall.

I like this design because it incorporates natural lighting, ventilation and it improves the space. It is reminds me pattern from nature.

Textile Finishing Techniques

Suzusan Luminaires Based on Traditional Japanese Textile Finishing TechniquesDüsseldorf

Luminaires
Textile Surface
Three-dimensional patterns
Cotton and Flax
These unique design lamps are hand made following traditional Japanese techniques. This technique is called Shibori. This is created by twisting, folding and distressing the material to show the natural patterns. I like it because it is white and you can see shades and tones very well and it creates beautiful pattern. Also it looks very delicate and soft like a knitted cloud.

Wood Casting Furniture

Wood Casting Furniture

by Hilla Shamia, Israel

Furniture
Burnt wood
Molten Aluminium
In-situ casting

When the first time I saw these furnitures I was amazed by them. I think is a beautiful peace of design, which combines two materials together: wood and metal. It looks like a peace of wood frozen in the metal. This is created by how well these two materials are joined.

Dynamic Ceramics

Dynamic Ceramics

By Moving Color

Ceramic and Glass tiles

This design is about how heat contacts with cold surface. This effect creates colours on the surface by chemical reactions.
I think this technology has exciting applications in interior design for the measurement and communication of temperature.
It would be very  interesting and fun to have shower like that.

Drawing with Thread

Drawing with Thread

by Debbie Smyth, UK

I like it because it is very artistic but also incorporates textiles and the innovative applications.  This is created by using pins and connecting thread. I think it is possible to create interactive walls for people.
